MATERIALS AND MEDIUMS:
long-leaf pine wood handcrafted canvas, stained with espresso, then charred using a large fire torch, inspired by a japanese preserving technique called shou sugi ban. inserted brass pulls act as mini looms, showcasing handspun wool yarn lost in the charred abyss.
this wall installation/ art is the embodiment of my emotional connection and reaction to a song by artist Asaf Avidan. link to "The Labyrinth Song" by Asaf Avidan.
